Alanya Youth Declared War on Disinformation in Ankara
Alanya University students attended the summit in Ankara to develop strategies to combat information pollution, the biggest threat of the digital age.
Alanya University Anti-Disinformation Community attended the Youth Summit organized by the Presidential Directorate of Communications in Ankara and made important contacts against the threats of the digital age. At the summit, the university was presented by Anti-Disinformation Community Advisor Dr. Lecturer It was represented by Member Evrim Nacar and Community President Ayşenur Yılmaz.
Media Literacy and Digital Threats
Within the scope of the event, the processes of combating information pollution, modern media literacy and the strategic role of young people in the communication ecosystem were discussed in detail. The focus was on projects that will strengthen access channels to accurate information in digital media and enable young people to become conscious producers and consumers.
Support to Young People from Minister Bak and Mayor Duran
Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. met with young people at the summit. Osman Aşkın Bak and Presidential Communications Director Prof. Dr. Burhanettin Duran made evaluations about new generation communication processes. Minister Bak and President Duran emphasized that the work carried out by young people against disinformation is of critical importance in terms of social awareness. The Alanya team noted that they will undertake new projects in the city with the experiences they gained from the summit.
