ALKÜ strengthened its sustainable future vision by hosting the Iraq delegation within the scope of the international youth project themed on environment and climate.
Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University (ALKÜ) implemented an important organization by hosting an international youth project with the theme of environment and climate. The "Green Steps in Youth, Common Future" program, carried out under the coordination of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, brings together the youth of Türkiye and Iraq. Within the scope of the project, Iraq Al-Mustaqbal University Rector Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi and his accompanying delegation, Rector Prof. Dr. He visited Kenan Ahmet Türkdoğan in his office.
Sustainable Campus and Green Transformation
The exchange program, which builds a bridge between Antalya and Babil, includes renewable energy, circular economy and sustainable campus training. In the project carried out in partnership with Muratpaşa Youth Center and ALKÜ Energy Management and Sustainability Coordinatorship, theoretical training is reinforced with field applications. During the visit, Rector Türkdoğan and Rector Majdi exchanged gifts and wished that the project would be productive for the youth of both countries.Environmental Awareness Training in Historical Texture
Akseki Vocational School, one of the important application areas of the project, is the scene of activities such as the promotion of endemic plants and scent production. Participating young people experience the local reflections of sustainability by examining the traditional buttoned houses and rural life in the region. The events will be completed with a certificate ceremony following innovation workshops, aviation applications and inspection tours to Antalya's historical areas.
