ALKÜ Soldiers of Science Wear Their Robes with Proud

Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University (ALKÜ) crowned its 11th anniversary with an academic ceremony with wide participation. While academics who rose in their careers and made significant contributions to the scientific community were excited to wear their new robes within the scope of the 2025-2026 Academic Appointment, Promotion and Award Ceremony, their international achievements were also rewarded. The program was held in the Rectorate Building Alev Alatlı Conference Hall; ALKÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Kenan Ahmet Türkdoğan, Alanya University Rector Prof. Dr. Turan Sağer, Alanya Mayor Advisor Sadık Dizdaroğlu, Alanya District Gendarmerie Commander Lieutenant Colonel Hüseyin Direk, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Mehmet Kılıç, Prof. Dr. Atıf Bayramoğlu, Prof. Dr. Işık Bayraktar, Alanya Training and Research Hospital Chief Physician Prof. Dr. Banu Karakuş Yılmaz, deans, vocational school principals, academicians and their families attended. Sadness and Pride Coexist in the Home of Science

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Rector Kılıç gave emotional moments by commemorating graduate student Onur Erçin and Zehra Eyiol, who died in a traffic accident. Kılıç stated that although the university is not yet a century-old plane tree, it has become a science center rising on solid foundations, and emphasized that the past 11 years are a story of determination and common goal. At the university, where academic power is increasing day by day, the appointment of 19 academics to the position of professor, 13 academics to the position of associate professor and 47 academicians to the position of assistant professor was welcomed with great pride. While achievement awards were given to 18 academics who contributed to international recognition, certificates of gratitude were presented to 3 retired faculty members.

Academic Staff Wore Their Ridings with Their Families

Following the speeches and comprehensive award presentations, scientists who were ranked in different basic fields within ALKÜ were invited to the stage. Academicians who received their new titles wore their professorship, associate professorship and doctorate professorships in proud moments accompanied by their families. The program ended with a group photo taken with the intense participation of the academic staff.
