Blue Alliance Breathes Fresh Air to Alanya Beaches

The "Blue Alliance Alanya" project, implemented in cooperation with Konya Food and Agriculture University Communication and Promotion Society and Alanya University, blended environmental awareness with academic solidarity. The team, which came to the district within the scope of the Unides project, was welcomed by Alanya University Informatics Society and Social Responsibility Activity and Social Responsibility Society (SASST).

Academic Exchange of Ideas on Campus

In the first phase of the program, the students visited the Hamdullah Emin Paşa Campus and the central campus, and then met with Alanya University Rector Prof. Dr. Turan Sağer in his office. During the visit, the delegation shared details about the project and received information about academic studies from Sağer. In three different sessions held later in the day, faculty members Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hamdi Tekin and Lecturer. Presentations were made by Dr. Fethiye Takadaş. The first day of the event was completed with a visit to the Youth Center with the support of Müşerref Kolcu Ergül from the Youth and Sports Unit.

157 Kilograms of Waste Cleaned on Damlataş Beach

On the second day of the event, the focus was entirely on environmental cleaning. Students from the two universities started a comprehensive cleaning operation on Damlataş Beach, one of the most important tourism centers of the district. After about two hours of intensive work, a total of 157 kilograms of waste was collected from the coastline and handed over to the municipal teams. For Alanya, which hosts millions of tourists every year and stands out with its natural beauties, such a large cleaning work provided a direct and strong benefit in preventing environmental pollution and protecting the marine ecosystem. Officials emphasized that this friendship bridge established with university students from other provinces crowns academic collaborations with social responsibility projects.
