Early Holiday Enthusiasm from 7 to 70 on ALKÜ Campus

Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University (ALKÜ) Kestel Campus is hosting a giant feast within the scope of the 19 May Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day events. Youth Week celebrations officially started with special campus events organized in cooperation with the Turkish Sports Federation for All (HİS). The project of the HIS Federation, which has signed such a comprehensive organization with a university for the first time; It brought together a wide audience, from primary school children to individuals hosted within the scope of Disability Week, from 60+ Refreshment University students to academic staff, in the same area.

The Wind of Sports and Entertainment Blows on Campus

The stations set up on the campus, which turned into a festival area, gave the participants unforgettable moments. While Mas wrestling, archery, basketball, giant Jenga and inflatable playgrounds attracted great attention, the field management of the events was undertaken by 70 volunteer students studying at ALKÜ Faculty of Sports Sciences. While fiercely competitive competitions continued, student communities hosted visitors at their stands and introduced their club activities. The first day's events, where the sky was colorful with kites, witnessed the integration of the university and the city.

Increasing Excitement Until May 19

ALKÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Kenan Ahmet Türkdoğan, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Işık Bayraktar and Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences Prof. Dr. He visited the festival area with Hamdi Alper Güngörmüş. Rector Türkdoğan, who participated in competitions with students and shared the energy of young people, underlined that this festival was just the beginning. Türkdoğan stated that they turned the holiday spirit into sharing by opening the doors of the campus to children, elderly people and disabled individuals, and thanked HİS Federation President Kerim Çomoğlu and his team for their contribution to the organization. The events will continue at an increasing pace until the May 19 celebrations.
