Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin opened the Salih Fikri Zaman Primary School, which was built with the support of philanthropists, on the first day of the 2026-2027 academic year, where 523 thousand 853 students attend classes.

Salih Fikri Zaman Primary School, built by philanthropist Hakan Zaman, was opened at the ceremony held in Doğuyaka District on the occasion of Primary Education Week. The ceremony was attended by Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin, Antalya Deputy Mustafa Köse, Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General Çiğdem Hacıoğlu, Deputy Governor Tahsin Aksu, Döşemealtı District Governor Ünal Çakıcı, Provincial Police Chief Dr. Sabit Akın Zaimoğlu, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Major General Hüseyin Bekmez, Coast Guard Antalya Group Commander Lieutenant Colonel Mustafa Söylemez, Provincial Director of National Education Mehmet Yasin Eriş, political party representatives, philanthropist Zaman and his family and many citizens attended.

Speaking at the ceremony, Governor Şahin drew attention to the educational investments in the city and stated that philanthropists added a classroom to every classroom built by the state. Emphasizing the aim of ending dual education, Şahin stated that the city is in a lucky position with the philanthropic support in this regard. Addressing the security and cleaning aspects of education, Şahin announced that 691 security guards and 1960 cleaning personnel started working in schools.

Sainting that Türkiye has taken great steps in education, contrary to global trends, Şahin thanked the teachers who were the architects of the success and invited parents to make the teachers' job easier. After the speeches, a plaque was presented to philanthropist Zaman. After the opening ribbon was cut, protocol members visited the classrooms and distributed textbooks to the students.
