They Came to Life in Courses Instead of Four Walls

Atatürk Art Education Center (ATASEM), operating within the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, continues to attract great attention in the second semester of the 2025-2026 academic year. Courses opened in different branches such as cook apprentice, skin care, handicrafts, foreign language and ceramics allow citizens to both improve their professional skills and strengthen their social ties.
Production and Socialization Together
65-year-old Hicran Karabudak, who participated in the handicrafts course, stated that the trainings were very good for her and that she preferred to produce new things instead of spending time at home. Karabudak emphasized that he spent his time efficiently by learning jewelry design and peganum knitting techniques within the ATASEM. Retired teacher Fethiye Taş stated that thanks to the English course, he communicated more easily with his children abroad and could follow foreign publications, proving that there is no age limit for learning.
Professional Trainings for Employment
ATASEM opens doors not only for hobby purposes but also for direct employment. Nimet Çetin, who learned professional culinary techniques in the cook apprentice course, stated that he aims to work in the food and beverage industry with the certificate he received. Many trainees, such as Bediha Nihal who produce in the ceramic workshop and Ali Erkan who participated in culinary trainings to gain professional experience, expressed their satisfaction with the opportunities offered by the centers.
