Erdem: “Don't make fun of the minds of business people”

Alanya Journalists Association (AGC) management visited Alanya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ALTSO) President and new term candidate Eray Erdem at the election office. During the visit, President Erdem, answering the questions of AGC President Gaye Coşkun and the accompanying delegation, clarified the criticisms of the dues increase on the agenda.

Populism is an insult to business

Emphasizing that business people are people who know how to calculate, President Erdem stated that promises that the dues will not be increased are unrealistic. Drawing attention to the economic crisis and inflationary environment, he stated that it was a necessity to raise staff salaries in accordance with legal restrictions in order to pay them. Erdem stated that the business world expects their future to be opened in the commercial field rather than the dues figures, and argued that permanent solutions should be focused on instead of day-to-day policies.

New Service Building is on the Way

Alanya business world needs more visionary projects, Mayor Erdem announced that the work of the new ALTSO building, which will be built in the municipality-allocated area, will start soon. Stating that the current savings in the chamber's budget were allocated to this project, Erdem underlined that the institution is not an enforcement authority, but a requesting authority that produces solutions with common sense.
