A commemoration ceremony was held on the 20th anniversary of the martyrdom of five police officers who were martyred in the helicopter crash that occurred on July 19, 2006, while on patrol duty in the skies of

Antalya. Governor Hulusi Şahin, Provincial Police Chief Sabit Akın Zaimoğlu, provincial protocol and members of the police force attended the ceremony held in the area where the helicopter crashed.

Sad Meeting at the Area Where the Accident Occurred

Police Chief Pilot Hakan Kaya, Police Chief Ramazan Can, Chief Inspector Pilot Kudret Çalık, Commissioner Adem Vurucu and Police Officer Osman Karadağ came together at the point where the accident took place. Participants commemorated the cherished memories of the police airmen who marched to martyrdom with love of duty, with respect, mercy and gratitude.

Prayers were read for the martyred police officers

As part of the commemoration program, prayers were read and a moment of silence was observed for the souls of the martyrs.
