The Future of Syria was Discussed at the AYBİR Panel

The "New Constitution and Social Peace in Syria" panel organized by Union of Academics and Writers of Islamic Countries (AYBİR) was held with a wide participation. 29th President of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (TBMM), Mr. Prof. Dr. In the program organized with the participation of Mustafa Şentop, the principles of the rule of law, new constitutional studies and the critical importance of social reconciliation in the future of the neighboring country were discussed comprehensively.

The panel stated that permanent peace, stability and post-war reconstruction in the neighboring geography can only be achieved if it is built on a strong legal basis. In the studies carried out in this direction, it was emphasized that academic contributions and intellectual knowledge play a key role in the construction of social peace.

Participants stated that the rule of law and a fair constitutional process are inevitable in resolving the Syrian crisis, which directly affects regional stability. Şentop, in his evaluations within the scope of the panel, pointed out that the search for a new constitution should be supported by social consensus.
