Manavgat Municipality is on alert against the increasing risk of forest fire due to the increasing heat wave and wind in the region. While all units were kept on standby in order to prevent possible disasters, coordination was also ensured against calls for help from surrounding districts.

Teams are on duty 24 hours a day

Manavgat Municipality maximized vehicle, equipment and personnel support against the fire threat. Acting in full harmony with the relevant public institutions, municipal teams were deployed to immediately intervene in fire extinguishing and support efforts that may occur in neighboring regions.

Call for Sensitivity and Reporting to Citizens

Authorities pointed out that negligence that could cause fire in forest areas should be avoided. It was emphasized that it is vital for citizens to immediately report to 112 Emergency Call Center units when they see any signs of smoke or fire.
