Deputy Mayor Özdemir Embraced the Children of the World with Love

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Büşra Özdemir, 27. It hosted children from all over the world as part of the International Antalya Children's Festival. Welcoming children from ten different countries, Deputy Mayor Özdemir emphasized that the doors of the city are always open to the children of the world. Stating that children are the guarantee of the future, Özdemir expressed that he was very happy with this meeting.

Colorful Meeting of Cultures

Within the scope of the festival, delegations from Azerbaycan, Tacikistan, Ukrayna, Litvanya, Tayland, Polonya, Estonya, Özbekistan, Kırgızistan and Türkiye met with Deputy Mayor Özdemir. The Özdemir, who chatted with the children by paying close attention to them, shared their excitement. The children, who participated in the meeting with the local clothes of their own countries, experienced the happiness of sharing their cultures. During the visit, the children presented gifts specific to their own countries, while Özdemir presented gifts symbolizing the city and a chess set. At the meeting, the short concerts presented by children from Azerbaycan and Kırgızistan by playing instruments specific to their own countries attracted great attention.

Little Representatives of World Peace

Stating that children are the most important representatives of world peace, Özdemir said, "We all have different languages, maybe cultures, but there is only one language in your heart. The language of love, peace, brotherhood and friendship. You brought hope, joy, love to this city. We are glad you are with us." Referring to the meaning and importance of April 23 in his speech, Özdemir reminded that this special day is the first and only holiday gifted to children in the world. Özdemir said, "Our Leader, our Founder Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk entrusted this holiday to you, to our future. On this occasion, I congratulate you on April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day. I say it again; May your tomorrow be beautiful and full of hope. If you laugh, the world laughs, the world changes. We will do whatever we have to do for you. Thank you very much for being here again."
