Karaköy Residents Excited with Heirloom Games

The 12th Keykubad Culture and Folk Festival, held in Alanya's Karaköy District, hosted great enthusiasm with traditional games that have almost been forgotten. The event, jointly organized by Bin Families One Family Association and Karaköy Mukhtar's Office, was held on Sunday with the intense participation of citizens.

Ancestor Games Were the Stage of Fierce Struggle

Citizens who filled the festival area shared the excitement of old village games. In the events where colorful images emerged, participants competed fiercely in games such as grinding barley in a mortar, turning kirmen and traditional ansır running. Additionally, pole climbing activities offered entertaining moments to the audience.

Participants who were successful in the competitions held at the festival, where traditional values were kept alive, were rewarded. While gold and cash awards were presented to the winners, citizens took pride in transferring the centuries-old cultural heritage to future generations.
