Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University continues to contribute to the cultural life of the city with artistic activities as well as scientific studies. The 3rd International Alanya Piano Competition and Festival, which has become a tradition, brought together many young talents and music lovers. Alanya University Rector Prof. attended the event held at the Rectorate Building Alev Alatlı Conference Hall. Dr. Turan Sağer, Dean of the Faculty of Education Prof. Dr. Mustafa Uslu, Head of Music Teaching Department Prof. Dr. Süleyman Cem Şaktanlı, ALKÜ General Secretary Hüseyin Er, pianists Hande Dalkılıç, Ferid Adıgüzelzade, Nazile Adıgüzelzade and many citizens participated.

The Heart of Art Beated at the University

The festival this year is organized by Alanya District Governorship, Alanya Municipality, Alanya University, ALTSO, ALTAV and ALTİD. Speaking at the opening of the organization, in which a total of 140 competitors took part, Prof. Head of the Music Education Department of the Faculty of Education. Dr. Şaktanlı emphasized that the event has been carried out with great devotion for three years. Stating that they made a significant contribution to the art world, Şaktanlı thanked ALKÜ Rector Prof. for their support. Dr. He thanked Kenan Ahmet Türkdoğan and all stakeholder institutions. Famous piano soloist Dalkılıç stated that it was an honor to organize such a comprehensive art festival in a tourism center like Alanya.

Awards Found Their Winners in Four Categories

As part of the competition, performances were performed in 4 different age categories on May 2-3. While Ülke Danış Tuncer and Ceylan Bayram shared the first place in category A; In category B, Arven Yaman and Arya Ateşin were at the top. While Can Ayazlar came first in category C, the young talents' interpretations of classical works were highly appreciated by the jury members and the audience. Such international organizations provide a strategic benefit to the branding of Alanya not only with its sea and sand, but also with its identity as a "city of culture and arts". After the award ceremony, the program was completed with a group photo.
