Akkuş's Rebellion Against the Primitive Conditions in the Sacrifice Market

Key Party Alanya District Chairman Abdullah Akkuş visited the sacrifice market established in Çıplaklı District and examined the grievances experienced by the sellers on site. Making an open call to Alanya Municipality, Mayor Akkuş stated that tradesmen coming from distant provinces and districts were deprived of basic human needs in the area where they stayed for days. Drawing attention to the lack of showers and personal cleaning areas in the market place, the official emphasized that the current situation has reached an unacceptable point.

Exorbitant Prices and Infrastructure Problem

Stating that fees up to 20 thousand TL are requested for a small area, Akkuş criticized the inadequacy of the service provided despite the high prices charged. Stating that both the sellers and the sacrificial animals were exposed to rain due to the open roof of the area in rainy weather conditions, the president added that no serious arrangements were made in the market area other than the side bars.

Stating that the situation does not suit the Alanya vision and municipal understanding, Abdullah Akkuş invited the authorities to take urgent measures. Emphasizing that citizens should not be victimized any further, Akkuş called for the immediate creation of cleaning areas, closed shelter points and the necessary infrastructure, and gave the message to the municipal authorities that if the public is charged a fee, services should be produced in return.
