Alanya Responds to Technical Debt Discourse MHP

Alanya, a new outburst has come from the political front regarding the infrastructure deficiencies and the concept of "technical debt", which have been frequently discussed in the public in recent days. CHP Alanya District Secretary Mehmet Can Karagöz responded to the discourse of planning deficiencies of the past period brought to the agenda by MHP Alanya District Deputy Chairman Süleyman Gün with a harsh language. Gün emphasized that power outages and infrastructure crises in the district cannot be explained by hiding behind academic terms. It was stated that in order to solve these problems that damage the brand value of the tourism city, action should be produced, not excuses.

Reminding that two years have passed since the municipal administration changed hands, the authorities stated that this period is the stage of producing results. In the district, which is growing with the ever-increasing population and migration wave, it was noted that the superstructure and roads are in need of repair as well as the infrastructure. It was stated that describing the crises as the technical debt of the past will not eliminate the responsibility of today, and that the citizens expect a concrete relief in their daily lives. It was underlined that constantly criticizing the old administration instead of managing growth would not benefit the city.

Arguing that there is no concrete data in the statements presented to the public; It was stated that critical questions such as the cost of technical debt, the projects it will close and the completion schedule remain unanswered. It was warned that the local administration should take transparent steps instead of perception management in order to carry the heavy tourism burden in a healthy way. It was emphasized that the district no longer needs words of excuse, but real services that will be felt on the streets.
