Call from İYİ Party to the Government for Alanya to Become a Province

IYI Party Alanya District Organization made a written press release regarding the rumors of Alanya being made a province, following the regular weekly board meeting. While party activities were discussed at the meeting held in the organization building, the process of becoming a province, which is one of the most important agenda items of the region, was evaluated.

Attention was drawn to Information Pollution and Perception Studies

In the statement signed by İYİ Party Alanya District Chairman Hilmi Er, it was stated that the information pollution and perception studies on the issue of making Alanya a province, which has been occupying the public in recent days, are being closely followed. Stating that Alanya becoming a province is not a gift that any political will or government will bestow upon the people, Er noted that this situation is a historical right and an economic, social and cultural obligation carried over from the Seljuks to the present day.

Reaction to AKP Government and Election Promises

District President Er emphasized that Alanya has a larger population, tourism volume and agricultural production than dozens of provinces in Türkiye, and stated that it is unacceptable for the city to be administratively confined to a district. Recalling the promises made by the government and officials that have been in power for 25 years to become a province in the past, Er stated that these promises, which were taken off the shelf when the election approached, were forgotten when the election was over. Stating that the administrative and bureaucratic jam between Antalya and Alanya makes it difficult to access public services, the İYİ Party organization invited the government and its alliance partner to end their stalling tactics and deliver Alanya's rights.
