The violent incidents in Urfa and Kahramanmaraş provinces, which led to the death of a teacher and eight students, opened the structural problems in the education system to discussion. It was suggested that a stronger justice mechanism, economic welfare and the number of psychological counselors and social workers in schools should be increased for a solution. While it was stated that humanity shrinks where violence increases, it was argued that the education policies implemented could not prevent loss of life. Alanya CHP district organizations invited the Minister of National Education, whom they held responsible for the process, to resign from his position.
