Antalya's Young Stars Took the Championship Stage

Antalya The 2025-2026 season volleyball and basketball leagues award ceremony, organized by the Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports within the scope of the 19 May Atatürk Commemoration, Youth and Sports Day events, was held with great enthusiasm. The ceremony held at Antalya Sports Hall; Governor Hulusi Şahin, Deputy Governor Tahsin Aksu, Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Yavuz Gürhan, Provincial Director of National Education Mehmet Yasin Eriş, many athletes and their families attended.

Addressing young athletes at the ceremony, Governor Hulusi Şahin drew attention to the city's potential in the field of sports. Emphasizing that the young people filling the hall constitute only a small portion of the licensed athletes in the city, Şahin stated that this large sports community cannot fit into the halls. He expressed his belief that young people will show up not only at the local level, but also in Turkey, European, world and Olympic championships in the future.

Governor Şahin stated that the sacrifices of families have a big share in the success and reminded that parents support their children in all weather conditions. Stating that sports add vital values ​​to young people such as teamwork, self-discipline, moderation in winning and accepting defeat, Şahin emphasized that these achievements will bring success in every profession in the future. Şahin thanked all the institutions, coaches and families who contributed to the education of young people, and together with the protocol delegation, presented awards to the athletes who ranked highest in volleyball and basketball branches.
