Metropolitan Wrestlers Have Their Eyes on the Golden Belt

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club wrestlers will compete to bring the golden belt to the city in the 665th Historical Kırkpınar Oil Wrestling, which will be held this year between 3-5 July 2026. In the giant organization in which a total of 101 wrestlers will participate, the athletes will take to the field with the motto of absolute victory.

A total of 101 wrestlers of the metropolitan municipality, 11 of whom are chief wrestlers, will join hands in Sarayici Er Square. Athletes who will compete in Türkiye's most prestigious oil wrestling organization will sweat for the championship after months of difficult preparation period.

Antalya Team is Ambitious

After the preparation process, which is closely followed by the sports authorities in the city, the group will move to Edirne, where the organization will be held. The goal of the wrestlers is to defend the title by being at the top of the podium this year, as in previous years.
