Volleyball Stars Storm the Sands of Alanya

The International Bioderma Pro Beach Tour Alanya Grand Slam Tournament, organized with the participation of world-class athletes, grandly opened the summer season in beach volleyball. The giant organization held at the Alanya International Beach Sports Center witnessed the fierce struggle of sixty-four teams and one hundred and twenty-eight athletes. Athletes from many countries as well as Turkey sweated for the championship on the sand for three days and showed the audience unforgettable matches.

Champions Won Their Trophies

After the breathtaking matches played on the final day of the tournament, the champions were announced. In the women's category, Adelya Akhmetova and Anna Değirmenci left their rivals behind and came out on top, while Sacit Kurt and Tuna İmdat were the names that took the championship rope in men. The awards were presented to the successful athletes at a ceremony attended by the Deputy President of the Turkish Volleyball Federation Alper Sedat Aslandaş, Alanya Municipality Mayor Advisors Abdurrahman Açıkalın, Faruk Konukçu, Nazmi Zavlak and ALTSO President Eray Erdem and federation officials.

The Target in Sports Tourism Is Growing

Evaluating the organization at the closing ceremony, Alanya Municipality Mayor Advisor and ALTAV President Abdurrahman Açıkalın drew attention to the city's sports tourism vision. Emphasizing that sports tourism is a new source of momentum for Alanya as well as sand, sea and sun tourism, Abdurrahman Açıkalın thanked all the supporters who contributed to the realization of the facility. Stating that they plan to host twenty-four national and international events this year after the successful tournament, the authorities announced that the next stop will be the Kızılkule Cup to be held on May 9-11.
