Alanya Farmers Eye on Common Price Decision

Alanya Chamber of Agriculture President Tahir Göktepe visited the greenhouses in the Elikesik neighborhood and listened to the problems of the producers. Stating that the prices of tomatoes and cucumbers generally satisfy the producers, the president emphasized that greenhouse eggplant growers are going through a difficult period. Cost is 25 TL, Sales Are Below Expectations Stating that the cost per kilogram in greenhouse eggplant production has reached 25 TL, Göktepe stated that current sales are 10 TL below the cost. Reminding that the prices in the Kumluca and Gazipaşa regions dropped to the 12 TL band, the president stated that the authorities in the Alanya market are struggling hard not to reduce these figures to 12 TL. Pointing out that local prices have remained at the level of 15 TL thanks to the efforts of the market tradesmen, the president thanked the brokers in Konaklı and the district center for their dedication.
