District Governor Öztürk Opened the Valve That Made Producers Smile

With the participation of Alanya District Governor Şakir Öner Öztürk, the new irrigation line was opened in Yeşilöz and Keşefli neighborhoods, one of the important agricultural centers of the district. Antalya DSI Regional Manager Özhan Erdanışman, Deputy Mayor Nazmi Zavlak, neighborhood headmen, political party district heads, chamber representatives and many producers showed great interest in the program.

A Critical Step for Regional Agriculture

Thanks to the inaugurated project, thousands of acres of agricultural land have access to uninterrupted water. This major investment, aimed at increasing agricultural production in the region, was a turning point for farmers struggling with drought. Speaking during the ceremony, District Governor Öztürk pointed out the vital importance of food safety and agricultural production for the future of the country and stated that producers and production should be supported under all circumstances.

Stating that agricultural production should not stop under any circumstances, District Governor Öztürk expressed his gratitude to the former Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works for their contributions to the implementation of the project. It is hoped that the irrigation line will bring abundance to Alanya agriculture and all producers.
