Good News from President Göktepe to Farmers

Alanya Chamber of Agriculture President Tahir Göktepe shared two important developments that are critical for agricultural producers. As a result of the negotiations with the president of the irrigation union, the AK Parti district president and the general directorate, the irrigation declaration submission period, which normally ends today, has been extended for one more week. Stating that the system will remain open for one more week with a verbal agreement, Göktepe stated that producers should submit their declarations immediately in order not to experience water shortages in the summer months.

Good News of Irrigation for Off-Site Areas

President Göktepe also gave good news for producers who are close to the closed-circuit irrigation line but outside the irrigation area. As a result of the negotiations, it was possible to take water from the closed system for agricultural areas under 80 acres.

Opportunity to Recover from Penalty Use

Producers outside the irrigation area were asked to go to the irrigation union and make a contract and submit a declaration on the annual plant. Stating that in this way, producers will get rid of penalized water use, Göktepe wished all farmers fruitful profits.
