The Class of the Greenhouse Producer is Determined by Field Inspections

A comprehensive field study that will shape the future of greenhouse areas in Alanya, which has a strategic location in greenhouse agricultural production, has been commissioned. In line with the project initiated by the Antalya Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry throughout the province, agricultural engineers working within the Alanya District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry started inspection and inspection work in production areas.

The Risk Status Will Be Determined by Scoring the Greenhouses

During field surveys covering approximately 22 thousand decares of greenhouse area throughout the district, agricultural engineers visit production facilities one by one. Greenhouses, which are scored within the framework of determined technical criteria, are classified according to their structural strength and production quality. Thanks to the inspections, greenhouses that have completed their useful life, are far from modern production techniques and are vulnerable to natural disaster risks are identified.

Database for Modernization and Support

The data obtained from field studies will form the basis of agricultural supports planned to renew greenhouses with technological infrastructures and make them resilient to disasters. With holistic steps, it is aimed to ensure the sustainability of greenhouse production in the region and to accelerate producers' access to modern agricultural technologies.
