Alanya Puts Its Digital Mark on Its Future
Alanya Municipality introduced the digital twin project of the eight-century-old historical symbol Kızılkule at the international symposium held at Akdeniz University.
Mediterranean University Faculty of Communication, witnessed the digital transformation moves of local governments. In the session titled "Tourism Communication in Local Governments: Digitalization and City Identity" held within the symposium, the work carried out on the historical building, which is among the historical and cultural symbols of Alanya, was shared with the public.
Historical Heritage is Transferred to Digital Memory
The Kızılkule Digital Twin and Survey Studies project, which was presented within the scope of the program, aims to secure the eight-century-old symbol of the city with modern technologies. The study, which aims to document the structure through digital technologies and transfer it to future generations in full, was considered a strategic step in the protection of cultural heritage and promotion of it internationally. With the project, it is aimed to strengthen the city identity in line with the digitalization vision and to initiate a new era in conservation studies.
