Huge Investment in Antalya Infrastructure Before COP31
Huge investments are being implemented without slowing down in order to strengthen the drinking water network before the upcoming international climate summit in Antalya.
Before the upcoming COP31 summit, large-scale studies are continuing uninterruptedly to further strengthen Antalya's drinking water infrastructure. The aim is to meet the increasing water needs of the region and provide uninterrupted service during planned major events.
Billion Huge Investment
In the last seven years, a huge infrastructure investment worth approximately 2.4 billion lira has been made in the Serik and Belek region. As part of the ongoing work, 120 liters of drinking water per second from three deep water wells opened in the Boztepe region of Aksu district is delivered directly to the event area through newly constructed transmission lines.
Uninterrupted and Secure Service
Approximately 5 thousand cubic meters of additional drinking water per hour is delivered to the region in question, and a total of five drinking water tanks and two pumping centers are fed uninterruptedly. While it is aimed to minimize water losses and leaks by completely renewing the old transmission lines, this critical move guarantees safe water supply during international organizations and provides a sustainable and solid infrastructure for the future of the city.
