Municipality Strengthens Its Power: Fourfold Increase in Gazipaşa Facility

Gazipaşa Municipality has initiated a comprehensive modernization and expansion work at the ready-mixed concrete production facility operated by its subsidiary company Gazibel. With the ongoing investments in the facility in the interlocking parquet factory complex located in Kahyalar District, it is aimed to significantly increase the production capacity for the infrastructure and superstructure needs of the district.

Production Capacity Is Being Increased to 140 Cubic Meters per Hour

Within the framework of the modernization projects carried out, the ready-mixed concrete production capacity, which was previously 35 cubic meters per hour, is quadrupled to 140 cubic meters per hour. A new sand and gravel stock area is also being integrated into the existing facility to ensure that the manufacturing process proceeds uninterruptedly, quickly and safely. Following the investments in 3 concrete mixers and 36 concrete pumps added to the machinery park in the 2022-2024 period; G Certificate of Conformity, which allows the production of all concrete classes from C10 to C50, was obtained, the administrative building was renovated and the test laboratory at TSE standards was put into operation. With the new structure, which will increase the annual production level of 35 thousand cubic meters, the concrete needs of municipal projects will be met and direct income will be provided to the public budget through sales to the market.

Evaluating the capacity increase move of the facility, Gazipaşa Mayor Mehmet Ali Yılmaz emphasized that they aim to utilize the local government's own resources in the most efficient way. In his statement, Mayor Yılmaz said, "We are renewing our ready-mixed concrete plant, which we established in order for our municipality to use its own resources more efficiently and to reduce external dependency, and increasing its capacity by 4 times. In this context, we have made preparations to increase our production capacity from 35 cubic meters per hour to 140 cubic meters. Currently, the installation work is continuing. We are working to leave permanent works to our district. We also make a serious contribution to our municipal budget with our market sales. Good luck to our district."
