Sustainable Urban Management through International Cooperation

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality continues to strengthen its work in the field of combating climate change and sustainable city management with international collaborations. The delegation of sister city Nuremberg Municipality was hosted in Antalya within the scope of the Nakopa Project. During the visit, the solar energy systems (SPP) in the municipality's service building were introduced in detail to the foreign delegation. In addition, visionary projects implemented in the field of reducing carbon emissions and environmental education were discussed at the table meetings.

Interactive Project with 248 Thousand Euro Grant for Children

Within the scope of the program, the Interactive Cubic Room application, which is one of the important pillars of the Nakopa Project, for which a grant support of 248 thousand 400 Euros was provided, was evaluated. This technological infrastructure, which aims to provide digital environmental education for children and young people, has been greatly appreciated for raising environmental awareness at an early age. It was emphasized that renewable energy investments throughout the city will continue to increase.
