Republic Day Message from Alkü Rector Türkdoğan

Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University (ALKÜ) Rector Prof. Dr. Kenan Ahmet Türkdoğan published a congratulatory message on the 103rd anniversary of Republic Day.

Stating that the Republic is the most glorious epic written by the Turkish nation with the love of independence and freedom, Rector Türkdoğan emphasized that the Republic is not just a form of government, but the will of existence of a noble nation that does not bend even under the most severe impossibilities.

Atatürk and Martyrs were Commemorated with Mercy

Türkdoğan stated that the unique perseverance and determination displayed in the War of Independence sealed the homeland with freedom, and commemorated with mercy and gratitude his heroic comrades, martyrs and veterans, especially Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the architect of the great victory and the Republic that changed the course of history.

Emphasis on Science and National Values

Reminding Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's words, "We founded the Republic, you are the ones who will keep it alive and raise it up," Rector Türkdoğan noted that it is our common duty to carry this blessed heritage to the future in the light of mind, science and national values. Stating that, as the ALKÜ family, they will continue to keep the spirit of 1923 alive in lecture halls and scientific studies, Türkdoğan congratulated all citizens on Republic Day.
