President Özçelik's Emphasis on the Love of Independence

Alanya Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik published a meaningful message on the occasion of 30 August Victory Day. President Özçelik stated that August 30 was the day the Turkish nation proved to the whole world that they would not accept captivity under any circumstances.

Determination for Freedom Declared to the Whole World

Referring to the historical importance of the victory in his congratulatory message, Özçelik stated that the great success achieved on August 30, 1922 is the greatest symbol of the determination to live freely on the homeland. He emphasized that this epic victory was won with the faith, courage and unshakable determination of the nation under the leadership of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

Call to Protect the Trust of the Republic

Reminding that the Turkish nation stood up again with hope even in times of poverty, Özçelik stated that the biggest duty of citizens today is not to forget this unique struggle and to protect the Republic. President Özçelik concluded his speech by commemorating all the heroes and veterans of the struggle for independence with respect, mercy and gratitude.
