Recipe to Extend the Season in Health Tourism for Alanya

Alanya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ALTSO) Chairman Mustafa Tuna, GRS Medical Tourism and EuropeSpa, who came to the city with the invitation of Alanya Health Tourism Association. The visit under the coordination of GRS Medical Tourism was accompanied by Batuhan Avcı, a tourism professional who is planning to invest in a longevity and health hotel in the region. During the meeting, the opportunities that the Wellbeing Services Regulation, which came into force on July 4, 2026, will bring to Turkish tourism and the transformation of hotels into a health concept were comprehensively evaluated.

Strategy to Spread Tourism to 12 Months

Evaluating the visit, ALTSO President Tuna emphasized that they will work to expand tourism to 12 months during their term of office. Tuna said, "In addition to traditional mass tourism, we exchanged views on longevity, wellness, healthy aging, health hotel management, rehabilitation, geriatrics, accessible tourism and sports tourism. In particular, evaluating existing accommodation facilities within the framework of the new legislation and integrating them with health and well-being services; extending the tourism season, developing a qualified tourist profile and increasing tourism income per capita are among our priority goals." It was also stated that a holistic approach including hotels, agencies, healthcare professionals and international partners will contribute to the city's vision.

New Opportunities with Government Incentives

Within the scope of Presidential Decree No. 10962 dated February 26, 2026; It was stated that supports for health, sports tourism and accommodation sectors will offer important opportunities in the processes of new investments and expansion into international markets.
