Environmentally Friendly Cinema Step and Documentary Wind in Golden Orange
The 63rd International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival continues with a climate-focused transformation panel and short film and documentary screenings with intense participation.
63. The International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival continues at full speed with panels and interviews as well as cinema and documentary screenings. Acting with social responsibility awareness, the festival management decided to reduce printed materials and give environmentally friendly awards by bringing the reflections of the climate crisis to cinema on the agenda.
Climate-Focused Transformation in the Cinema Industry
As part of the festival, a panel titled "The Future of Cinema - Climate-Focused Transformation in the Film Industry" was organized by the Green Sets Possible Initiative. Green Sets Are Possible (YSM) General Coordinator Yeşim Girgin, who moderated the panel, emphasized that the basis of the project they carry out is a sensitivity coming from the sector. Girgin pointed out that external regulations remain dysfunctional and stated that the climate issue should be internalized by industry professionals.
Intense Interest in Short Films and Documentaries
New local productions and prominent examples of world cinema also meet with Antalya moviegoers at the festival. Productions such as "Elisa", "Ancient Blue", "Death of Truth", "One of My Fathers is the Moon", "Light of Hope" and "Riverstone", which appeared before the audience with their teams, attracted great attention from the audience.
While the stories in the National Short Film and National Documentary competitions and special screening sections were reflected on the big screen, moviegoers had the opportunity to meet with the film crews after the screenings and ask their questions.
