German Students Discovered Alanya Weaving

An important visit was made within the scope of the efforts carried out to keep the cultural heritage of Alanya alive and promote it at the international level. Erasmus+ Within the scope of the "Me, My School and My City" project, Renataschule students from Hildesheim cities of Almanya and project partner Hayate Hanım Ortaokulu students were hosted at Hasanağalar Konağı Alanya Dokuma Atölyesi.

Centuries-old tradition introduced in practice

During the visit, the intricacies of the centuries-old Alanya weaving culture were explained in detail to foreign and local students. The students, who followed the production stages of weaving products on traditional looms with interest, had the opportunity to experience the production process practically. Thanks to the event, it was aimed to transfer the forgotten crafts to the younger generations, while students from different cultures were brought together through local values.

Cultural Heritage is Transferred to the Future

With such events held within the Alanya Belediyesi, it is aimed to protect the historical and cultural values of the city. Referring to the importance of workshops for the promotion of traditional arts on international platforms, the officials thanked the educators and students who contributed to the project. The education in the mansion, which draws attention with its historical texture, ended with a productive sharing that increased the cultural awareness of the students.
