Good news from WTM London to Alanya Tourism: UK Market Share Increased to 30 Percent

Attending the WTM London Fair, one of the most important tourism meetings in the world, Alanya Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik evaluated Alanya's position in international tourism and its expectations for the 2027 season with global sector representatives. Stating that the data coming from international markets is satisfactory, President Özçelik emphasized that the correct work carried out has been rewarded.

Record Increase in UK and Polish Markets

During the contacts held within the scope of the fair, data regarding the UK and Polish markets came to the fore. Stating that Alanya's passenger share in the UK market increased from 18 percent to 30 percent, Mayor Özçelik stated that they have become the number one destination of Coral Travel in Poland. It was also shared that there was an increase of over 20 percent in Dertour sales.

New Step for Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport

Expansion of the flight network of Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport (GZP) was also discussed during the meetings. President Özçelik announced that they discussed the re-evaluation of Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport for UK flights with the airline company Jet2. Özçelik stated that efforts continue uninterruptedly to increase Alanya's international tourism potential and reach new markets, and thanked all sector representatives who contributed to the process.
